Tulalip and Swinomish tribal member Matika Wilbur is continuing her quest to photograph individuals from the more than 562 federally recognized American Indian tribes.
Her photographic journey across the country, primarily funded through a Kickstarter campaign in late 2012, has made headway and is nearing the halfway point. However, Wilbur needs financial help to finish.
People can donate during the next 10 days at TinyURL.com/obvggqg.
There is also a fundraising event Feb. 16 at the Tacoma Art Museum. In May, Wilbur plans to unveil her work at the museum. Learn about the project at www.matikawilbur.com/blog.
