The Zonta Club of Everett will host its 36th annual gala auction at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Holiday Inn, 1305 Pine St., Everett. Tickets cost $80 per person. The “Under the Sea”-themed event will include silent auctions, followed by dinner, live auction and a dessert dash. WorkSource Snohomish County will host the Snohomish County Regional Veterans’ Job and Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 13613 40th Ave. NE, Marysville. Veterans should dress for success, bring resumes and be prepared for on-site interviews with employers including Frito Lay, Volt Technical, Boeing Co., Giddens Industries and others.

The Stanwood City Council will hold a public hearing at approximately 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Stanwood-Camano School Administration Building about the formation of a transportation benefit district and placing a measure on the Feb. 12, 2013, ballot to increase the city’s sales tax rate by $.002 to fund needed transportation improvement projects.

NW Plus CU has moved its Marysville-area branch near the Seattle Premium Outlets to 221 State Ave. Suite 103, in downtown Marysville. Branch hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. The credit union will have a grand reopening from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. with Mayor Jon Nehring.
