LYNNWOOD — Please join Economic Alliance Snohomish County on May 16 for its annual meeting and awards ceremony at the Lynnwood Convention Center.

Hundreds of the region's business leaders will gather to hear about regional successes in 2011, the latest on EASC as well as what the region can expect to see in 2012. Additionally, two community awards, the John M. Fluke Community Service award and the Henry M. Jackson Citizen of the Year award, will be awarded. The Herald Business Journal will also present the 2012 Executive of the Year award and the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year award.

You will not want to miss this event.

The Henry M. Jackson Citizen of the Year Award, established in 1977, honors someone who demonstrates exemplary service to the community and is committed to the business interests of the region. This individual enhances community growth and development by promoting civic, social and cultural programs, and participates in designing programs that expand the potential and quality of the county.

Established in 1970, the John M. Fluke Sr. Service Award annually recognizes an individual who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit or small business leadership coupled with significant community contribution and commitment.

The Herald Business Journal's Executive of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year awards recognize the achievements of the recipients as nominated and judged by their peers.
