Learn about feng shui

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Creating a peaceful, harmonious home and getting your life in balance may be as simple as where your bed is placed or what color you paint your walls.

Feng shui consultant and designer Cynthia Chomos will discuss the ancient Chinese art at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Public Library.

It is based on the belief that achieving feng shui, which translates literally as wind-water, balances the energies in your surroundings, which will bring good health and good fortune.

Chomos will talk about how furniture placement and elements of decor help to achieve this balance. Bring a simple floor plan of your home to the class.

Chomos, a member of the Master Builders Association, has made appearances on TV and given presentations on the use of feng shui in homes and businesses in the Pacific Northwest and internationally.

The free library event will be in the main auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Call 425-257-8000 for more information.
