Mount Rainier car prowler sentenced to prison

TACOMA -- A woman who prowled cars at Mount Rainier National Park and stole computers, credit cards and other valuables at trailheads was sentenced Monday in federal court in Tacoma to two years in prison.
The 25-year-old Tacoma woman, Pamela N. Williams, also was ordered to pay $7,000 in restitution, and she was banned from the park for the three years of supervision after she is released from prison.
The U.S. attorney's office said Williams pleaded guilty in December to conspiracy and aggravated identity theft.
A co-defendant accused of participating in the car break-ins in the summer of 2010, Matthew Mortinson, is scheduled for trial in June.
