Edmonds bank robbery suspect surrenders
The man accused of robbing an Edmonds bank on April is also seen in surveillance video at a Shoreline bank the same day, police say.

EDMONDS -- The suspect in an Edmonds bank robbery earlier this month has turned himself in after tips led to police learning his identity.
In a brief court appearance Monday, bail was maintained at $50,000 for the man, 28, who was arrested for investigation of first-degree robbery.
Edmonds police detectives received valuable information after surveillance photographs and video clips of him were circulated, Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.
The suspect is accused of robbing Chase Bank, 8105 Lake Ballinger Way, on April 13.
Police allege a man in his 20s wearing a black "Southpole" T-shirt with a white skull imprint handed a teller a note demanding money. He ran from the bank with more than $2,000, according to court records.
After the suspect's image appeared in news coverage, a teller from Whidbey Bank in Shoreline called Edmonds police to report having seen the same man at her bank branch about an hour earlier than the Chase robbery.
"Surveillance video from Whidbey Bank was obtained and it was obviously the same individual wearing the same clothing as seen in the photos from the Edmonds robbery," police wrote in court papers.
Video footage showed the man leaving the parking lot in an old blue station wagon.
An woman anonymously called the police department tip line to say she saw the photo on the news and provided the suspect's name. The man had been reported missing out of Pierce County on April 1.
The suspect turned himself in at the Lake Forest Park Police Department on Friday night. He led police to where his 1994 Mercury Tracer station wagon was hidden in Seattle, Blackburn said.
