Pre-trial hearing in Wenatchee murder case

WENATCHEE -- A pretrial hearing beginning Thursday in Wenatchee will determine some of the evidence that may be entered in the murder trial of Christopher Scott Wilson.
He's accused of the February 2010 killing 17-year-old Mackenzie Cowell, a classmate at a Wenatchee beauty school. He could face a life sentence if convicted.
The Wenatchee World reported that defense lawyer John Henry Browne wants the jury to hear about three other men police investigated before arresting Wilson.
Chelan County Prosecutor Gary Riesen said there's no legal basis to admit evidence of prior suspects, but he was to enter evidence that Wilson was fascinated with serial killers.
The trial is scheduled to begin May 22.
