Pinchot heir to speak: Marco Pinchot, the great-grandson of Gifford Pinchot, the famous chief of the U.S. Forest Service under President Theodore Roosevelt, is scheduled to speak at Snohomish Conservation District's open house and awards event Thursday.

The open house runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Legion Hall, 145 Alverson Blvd., in Everett. Pinchot is expected to talk at 5:15 p.m.
