Playing solitaire 'til dawn with a deck of 51: A man stranded in Montana's mountains for three days in his snowbound SUV got by on a rationed supply of beef jerky, a little coffee, water and countless games of "Angry Birds" on his cellphone. The man said that he did write out a will "just in case."

In appreciation for helping him keep his mind occupied, the man gave all his worldly possessions to the Yellow Birds.

Slow down, you move too fast: Einstein was right; researchers say they have measured the speed of subatomic particles dubbed neutrinos and determined that they do not travel faster than the speed of light, as had been claimed by other scientists last year.

The scientists theorized that it just looked like the neutrinos were moving faster because they had flames and pinstripes painted on their sides.

Fill 'er up: GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, R-Premium Unleaded, is seeking donations from supporters in increments of $2.50, the same amount he has guaranteed a gallon of gas will sell for when he is president.

He's already on his way to delivering on his promise: For $2.50, you get a gallon of hot air.
