Lake Stevens Dylan Lavelle, seen here in 2011, will miss 2-4 more weeks with a dislocated shoulder.

Lake Stevens shortstop Dylan Lavelle is expected to miss 2-4 more weeks after dislocating his non-throwing shoulder nearly two weeks ago, Vikings assistant coach Mike Hodgins said after the Vikings 7-1 victory over the Jackson Timberwolves on Friday.

The injury occurred in practice and Lavelle has not played in the Vikings first two regular season games.

The Oregon State recruit is considered one of the most dangerous hitters in the Wesco and expected to play a major role in the Vikings success this season. Early last season Lavelle had some tightness in his arm and DH'd for a few games but did not miss any games.
