LYNNWOOD -- The police community in Lynnwood and elsewhere is mourning the death of Mark San Diego, a popular and beloved reserve officer who died in late February.
San Diego, 62, worked for the police department for 24 years before he was diagnosed with cancer, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
He spent the past eight years working as a marshal at the Snohomish County Courthouse.
Sessions shared a statement from the Lynnwood Police Guild.
"We will miss our brother in blue and our dear friend," it said. "Our police family is saddened by this difficult loss; however, we stand strong forever for his family."
