Acquisitions

Central Welding Supply has announced plans to buy Everett Carbonic. The acquisition was effective Dec. 30. The acquisition will add approximately $400,000 annually in beverage gas revenues, bringing Central to about $1 million annually in beverage gases between the two beverage gas divisions, Everett Carbonic and Compressed Gas Western. Everett Carbonic first opened in the early 1950s at its Broadway location. Though the main customer service and dispatch phone number will go unchanged, effective Dec. 30, the Everett Carbonic division will operate out of Central Welding Supply Company’s Marysville location: 13305 38th Ave NE, Marysville, WA 98271. Good deeds

Diamond Knot Brewing Co. recently raised $2,200 for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. The money will be used to help provide children in need with winter coats. Diamond Knot has locations in Mukilteo and on Camano Island.

Haggen Food & Pharmacy stores and KAFE 104.1 FM will hold a drive to provide warm winter clothes for children and adults in northwest Washington. Donations of new and gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves may be dropped off at bins near the entrances of Haggen stores, Jan. 3 to 31. In Snohomish County, the clothes will be distributed by several nonprofit organizations, including St. Joseph’s House in Marysville, Arlington Kids Kloset and Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club.
